Dr. Mathieu Dellinger - PI : CNRS academic researcher at the EDYTEM laboratory (“Environments, Dynamics and Mountain Territories”, CNRS - University Savoie Mont-Blanc, France). His research focus on better understanding biogeochemical fluxes within the Critical Zone (CZ), particularly silicate and oxidative weathering, using non-traditional isotope systems (e.g. lithium, rhenium). As a PI of LAKE-SWICTCH, his role is to manage the project and supervise team members. Mathieu is also is charge of characterizing present-day and paleo-weathering conditions in Lake La Thuile using Li isotopes in carbonates.
Dr. William Rapuc - Postdoc : William is a sedimentologist and geochemist with a particular interest in the impact of human activities and climate fluctuations on the Alpine environment, working from lake sediment archives. Within the ERC LAKE SWITCH, his role is to provide a better understanding of changes in the weathering of Alpine soils by using isotope geochemistry (e.g., lithium, stable and radiogenic strontium, neodymium) on the detrital and authigenic fractions of sediments from Alpine lakes (Lac du Bourget, Lac de la Thuile, Lacs Robert). His role is also to deploy and retrieve lake monitoring equipements (sediment trap) and sensors
